So it was pretty much closed, and it made a huge difference. It's not up there with the dodge by any means, but it has a good bit more acceleration than my N/A IDI. Still smokes pretty good, but not like it did when the waste gate was stuck. I need to drive it around some more, just to get everything loosened up.

The gate will not stay closed when you disconnect it. There is nothing holding it closed. The vacuum- pressure can has a spring in it that applies pressure on the gate keeping it closed all the time. Then, when boost numbers climb the pressure pushing on the diaphram and spring opens the gate. See..... Hookit back up and just run it without the pressure line hooked up to the can but plug the open end from the cold side wheel. Be careful because you will lift off the heads because now you don't have any way to limit the boost besides lifting your foot.....:D
