Sending unit wiring plugs

Alright, I've found some good info on sending units, but I haven't figured out my problem.

My 1994 currently has NO rear tank, but the lines and wires are still there. Unfortunately, my wiring is stumping me. The attached picture is a picture of the plug that I have. It has 4 receptacles, but only two ocntacts are used (sender & ground I assume, IDI style). And the tank sender I got from another IDI also only has two prongs, but they're a much different shape. They're in the ( O O ) arrangement, which I believe was the plug used before the 4 prong ( O O O O ) style.

SO, what plug do I have under my truck? Am I missing a pigtail that goes from here to the tank? And where can I find the correct femael end to plug into the sender if I need to make a pigtail?

Aside from the wiring, do you need a rear tank?
I have a plastic one.
It's on my 94 psd though.

I've never seen a sending unit plug like that. The IDI's used the 2 prong and the gassers used a 4 buts they aren't in a circle pattern on a gasser like that one

That looks almost like the abs valve plug.

I'll have to look into that ABS plug possibility...

To be investigated further at a later date...

I've got a 19 gal. steel tank I got lucky finding right now. I'd prefer a 38 gal. steel if I have to go steel, or any plastic though (front is plastic already). You're selling your plastic one?

Yeah, I don't use it. It worked fine.
I think it's only a 19.

Only thing is ford used those plugs like that in a bunch of places. Where exactly is it? (Can't tell from the pic)

It was tucked up with the rear tank lines, right by the front of the skidplate for the rear tank. The ABS plug does quickly make sense, I know my truck is supposed to have RABS, but Im 98% sure I never felt it this winter (which I was OK with), so maybe it is unplugged. I need to look under there again and see if the "real" sender plug is under there.

I'm not in a huge hurry, probably looking at this summer before I'll get this tank in. I just bought a steel one off a whim from a craigslist deal for some other parts, and he happened to have a good shape steel 19gal. tank behind his garage. I had planned on the 38gal steel tank and new sender modified etc (and needed to start saving)... but $40 for the whole 19gal rear tank & sender 1/2 full of fuel kinda won the economic battle

The rear tank has the same sender pulg as the front tank has. So look at the front tank and see what that plug looks like.

Rabs valve is no where near the rear tank. It's just below the fire wall in the frame rail. Just had my tanks out and don't remember off hand seeing that style of plug by the rear tank

That is the pigtail that the fuel sender harness plugs in to. My 93 has one for the front and one for the rear. As does the 96 parts truck I had. There is a harness about a foot long that plugs in to that plug that has the correct plug for your fuel sender

Is there a sensor on top of the diff? The RABS needs a sensor to tell it what the wheels are doing.

What color are the wires? The rear fuel tank sender should be yellow-lt. blue and black. The diff speed sensor is lt green-black and red-pink.
