Could somebody tell me what the sender, which is located at the front of the engine on the driver side just below where the head meets the block is for? On the weekend, I broke the connector terminal off of it. All gauges seem to be working normally. The truck is a 1994.

Thanks in advance.

That is the engine overtemp sender. If that gets tripped, your temp gauge should peg and the red engine warning light should illuminate.

Thanks for the reply. I will put that on my to-do list. Does anybody on here know the part number for the Ford return line kit?

check here for a complete kit (hoses, caps, clamps, etc) or the short kit (no caps or hoses)

I went to the stealership, and they wanted 4 bucks per clamp at the preferred customer cost. YIKES!!! takes 18 of em.

there are two kits, 3/16 and 1/4 hose.
