good to know. i am looking into it. Anything to continue to make my truck the most reliable vehicle i have owned despite it's age and mileage.
I go by analysis , I have a single bypass filter on mine. Don't know when or if I'll ever have to change it. Time will tell.
To put the Franz filter in perspective, Amsoils first bypass filter was basically a Franz based system....about 21 years ago, they improved it by changing the tp roll to a cartridge of compressed cotton disks. Then they improved the whole works and moved on to what they have now. The kits are expensive, But i could help you rig up a single bypass filter for a lot less than the price of a kit, It gets downright cheap if you buy the filter head by itself and get your own hoses. Besides, the stuff that comes in the kits never fits on a truck anyway.
well thanks for your thoughts and replies I was given a 5 gallon jug of royal purple from a guy who ran it in his cummins but sold the truck and still had oil anyways i have read a lot of different reviews on it and i think i will pass on putting it in my truck.
and pour in the good stuff! I have used Royal Purple and it is a whole lot better than the popular dead plants and animal lubes everyone else likes...
