Has anyone ever put a 6.9/7.3 IDI in a Dodge W series?

I know it sounds crazy, but I’ve never once heard of anyone putting an IDI diesel in a 92-93 D/W series Dodge. Has anyone ever done this? And if so, where would a guy find that forum. And yes I’m aware the Cummins can make more power and blah blah blah. I just see people putting Cummins engines into the F250s and 350s, and wondered if anyone has ever done the opposite.

I know you’re not specifically asking this but if you are wondering if it’s feasible / easy, easy is subjective but I think it’s relatively simple to put an IDI into any engine cradle based frame. Which the W series dodges you listed are.

I’m aware that it wouldn’t be super easy. I know it’s a more than possible thing to do, just wondering if anyone had ever done it. If anyways release had been crazy enough to do it, I’d love to talk to them. Lol

Oh I know it can be done, I’d just love to talk to someone who’s actually done it.
I don’t know anyone who has done it but I’ve put an IDI in a 73 Thunderbird, 78 Lincoln and 88 Bronco and don’t think it would take much engineering or effort into a W series dodge. Just my opinion.

His post #8 where he mentioned putting a IDI in a Thunderbird and Lincoln, both 70s models, kind of gave it away. I do have to agree with Fender here. Putting a IDI in one IS a cool idea and I have thought about it before. It's too bad that I REALLY don't want to have to tag and insure another vehicle. I've seen some pretty nice looking 70s model LTDs and Thunderbirds on Facebook Market place. They weren't even too badly priced.
