ok..still havin issues with the van during tows...Im workin in the 5spd swap and some other things...

however...

when I drop it out of 3rd..and push the go pedal ALL the way down (new cable)...it hits an RPM and just stays there...doesnt go any faster...no tach so no idea what it is...sounds like 3500....

do these have a govonor? or a Rev-limiter on them??

got the new seats in..hoodscoops on (working..1 for intake..1 engine air..(the vans get HOT!!))..still gathering parts and trying to get the house ready for winter..while chasin a 3yr old by myself...its kinda hectic...oh...and goin 4x4'n with my buddys...not alot of down time around here...

yes they have a governor and they top out between 3300-3800 rpm depending on load and IP

Yup, while driving around 3300rpms is max, but sitting in neutral it will go to 3500rpm's. The pump was rebuilt to stock specs, so if that what you got on your rig, thats what it should be.

From what I've seen, a 7.3 pump will redline at 3750(have driven a few 7.3's with working tachs, and my 6.9 has a 7.3 pump), not sure about a 6.9 pump, Stephane's truck doesn't have a tach, and John's only works now and then.
My truck will pull 3750 going down the road easily, even in 4th...
