Wondering if there is a CHEAP remote starter option with a user select able glow plug delay? or just have a preset glow delay for 15 seconds?

Mel posted about one on here, and it is not really all that expensive, and it even has a provision to "watch" the Wait To Start light before it cranks the starter. Not sure how it checks if the truck is in neutral, you have to make sure it is.... or the truck will wander off....... let me look and see if it can find the post......

It won't set the fast idle though. When the goin' gets tough (cold) I would rather start it manually.

My truck came with a Viper alarm with remote start. Wires are a mess under the dash and have more in line fuses than I can count on both hands heck may need to pull off a shoe to count some toes too. lol mine will flash the parking lights letting you know it got he signal to start. waits roughly 10-15 sec then turns over only once for maybe 2-5 sec If it starts that great if not have to go through the whole process again. push lock button then start button.

The Funny thing I didn't know I had remote start on it until one day I was hanging the keys up on the key rack and must of pressed the button a little harder then I thought. Went about my business and was sitting in the dinning room and kept hearing a diesel truck running. So after a few mins went by I got up to see who was here. No one but my truck was running with the parking light on. Kinda freaked me out thought someone was stealing my truck lol

I have a bulldog security one that'll do it, but I haven't programmed it right yet.

definitely need to make sure im in neutral though, my buddies truck recently wandered off in the morning into a brand new impala...doh!

It's definitely nice.
I just haven't gotten it programmed correctly.
I think it's something to do with my p-brake light being wonky.
