I got tired of trying to keep the rear drum brakes adjusted on my truck. It seems if not done every month or two they just would not do the job. Last week I replaced the drum setup with a disc brake conversion kit from the Streetrod Manufacturing Co. http://www.tsmmfg.com/2670.htm
This is really a slick setup. The kit includes brackets, custom rotors and all the hardware to bolt it up. I also purchased a set of rubber brake lines from them, and calipers which are off the shelf Chevy
units.
My truck stops much better now, especially when pulling my heavy work trailers. Here are a couple pics. I wish i would have taken more of each step of the installation.
