Alright so been looking through the intercooler threads and it seems that the turbos are all mounted diffrently then mine mainly using this thread along with this thread for refrences.

vs my turbo (sorry for the iffy pics, taken in the dark with a cellphone), in the 3rd pic you can just bearly see my disconnected down pipe buried behind the up pipe and soot. (pics taken from either in front of or passanger side)

Here's mine with that same style of turbo, but the newer Aurora 2000 kit. I too made an intake hat. I've since ditched the banks adapter on the IP cover and installed the correct ATS drivers side valve cover for the CDR.

check out this thread. if you can follow my posts there, I put in the factory ATS IC kit. now discontinued but imho well worth the $$$ spent.

What was the reason for getting rid of the banks adapter and going back to the ats style valve cover?

It just didn't work right with the stupid piece of 1" hose and the CDR turned on its side. I had the ATS valve cover just sitting from when I purchased the turbo kit, I was just too lazy to paint it and install it. When I began driving the truck back and forth from Albuquerque to Las Vegas, NV, the CDR tore off its custom hose that hooks it to the hard pipe between it and the ATS intake box because it was just sitting there, flopping around on the hoses rather than mounted appropriately (again, in my rush to get the turbo and IC installed, I neglected to make a mount for the CDR) I finally repaired it all the right way, by installing the correct valve cover and making a custom brass bushing to hook the CDR to the hardpipe for the ATS airbox.

Now that I went to the trouble to fix it right, the truck hasn't been driven more than 250 miles in the last year....

I have read this several times and cannot figure out what the point is...you don't really have a question...this makes it hard to offer suggestions...or help...;Poke

Alright 1 more quick question, does this turbo (guessing its a ATS 093/Factory Ford?) come with anyplace for a boost gauge or would I have to drill/tap a hole?

there is no provision for a boost port on any of these ATS turbos. it really depends on where you want the reading at. i have mime at the widest point of the bell on the intake adapter. see where the brass pipe plug is at?

Did you use a 2" EMT 90 there?

Was thinking more along the lines of before I add the intercooler (trying to narrow down why my EGTs are so high)
