Hey guys,

I recently passed up a really good buy on a performance transmission because the seller specified local pickup.

I am in Northern CA. and he was somewhere in Ohio. Little more driving than I want to do. But, I would happily drive to Sac or the bay area to meet a truck.

Do you guys ever do any "side hauling" of little stuff like this? Are long routes like this common?

I don't want to get anybody in trouble with their employer or ask for something not on the up and up.

I am just wondering.

Thanks,

Tom

I could get away with "side hauling" but have not been to CaliscrewU in over a year. Freight is too cheap and fuel too high. Best I can offer you is to *** to WY to pick it up. Either that or talk Grumpy into bringing it to you. LOL

You might check into shipping via a LTL truck company if you can get the shipper to put the trans on a pallet.
Like Yellow Freight, ABF, or one like that.
