I've got an autometer phantom pyrometer.

The actual wiring on the gauge is three wires....
I took the gauge off when I swapped trans last time I was home.
of course 5 weeks later, I can't remember how the three wires were supposed to go.

anyone have one of these gauges where they can let me know? I'd hate to fry the gauge or get an incorrect reading.

mine is an es-series and it says white is 12v constant red is switched 12v and black is ground but doesn't specify about the thermocouple wires.

autometer website was useless.
tractorman, that would be for the pyro, not the gauge.

screw it, I'll just plug it in and figure it out.

yessir,
green, brown and red wires if I recall.
three spots to put them, left right, and one below the right one.
