I found this vid on u tube about the use of turn buckles for pump timing. I DO NOT SUGGEST USING THEM... The idea of using the throttle turn buckle is ok if you are using the timing light method to time your engine. But using the turn buckle to adjust the timing on a loose pump where the engine is running is dangerous. Should the wrench slip off when the pump is loose it crashes over to the adjustment locks and usually will snap the pump main shaft rendering your pump core charge worthless. So now you have seen a different way to adjust your timing. My rental meters do not come with the timing light nor the turn buckles. They come with the simplest way to time your engine. They are also the safest way to time. Many members here will share how they feel about the ease of timing you engine using any kent moore J33300 or J33300-A meter.
