youll get a tape
now heres what the pump will be
a 4 plunder db2 8 cylinder
4 rotor (pumps on the rotor that pressureize
.350 plunger

so since this pump is phisically as big as a db2 can get i dont think ill run out of fuel
i did some net reascherch and this is the best option i can find a 4 rotor db2 for 1500 then just swap the guts to a .350 plunger unit easy right

Better look into a fancy fuel pump setup. High rpms with those big plungers I'm sure will limit fuel.

might want to look at opening up the whole fuel supply including a manual valve. it necks down to about 1/4 going through the FSV:rolleyes:

to replace the fuel selector valve, midnightrider has detailed it out before as a solid reliable way to remove the FSV and keep a nice flow rate. basically he put in two 3 way valves he can reach and switch baside his seat through the floor and direct where he wants his feeds and returns to go.

I have also heard Mel say something about injector line sizes being a restriction with a big pump.

No one has proven one versus the other. Best is a bit vague... Best fuel rate, curves, price, reliability, etc...

I wouldn't say that there is no proof, I would say that its a touchy subject due to Mel being the person he is on this site. Unfortunately that causes people to just avoid the subject.

The fact of the matter is that Ken does a lot more work to the DPS turbo cal pump than James does to the "moose pump" so there shouldn't of been a big surprise at the performance difference's. The DPS pump is a total package tuned pump versus what is basically just a turned up IP.

Even if you could get everyone to post all of their specs, it is over the head of most people in the sense of they wouldn't know what works best without studying it and actually doing the work themselves. Therefore the best comparisons we have is dyno pulls, mileage comparisons, and general engine performance.
