Pull glow plugs while hot or cold?

Just looking for any tips before I pull mine. Do you heat the motor up or pull them cold? Thanks!

FWIW, I pulled mine cold. I would think it wouldn't make a difference except for making it harder to do because of a hot engine.:dunno

but also, i'm not in a very cold climate.In that case the heat might be a welcome thing.:D It was in the winter here when I did it though. No problem getting them out and they were OEM, along with most of the things i've taken off my 310,000 truck.

just pulled mine on Wen, it was only about 40. i soaked them in PB for about an hour first. then took air hose and blew it all out.

had no issues at at all (other than getting access to them), i did it in less than 2 hrs and had NO idea what i was doing.

take your time and crank slow, dont force them out.

I pull 'em cold, and I do it every fall, I got stuck having to change them once in -30, never again LOL
