PU box weight

Just curious if anyone knows the weight of a 90 long box box....just the box if I take it off whats it weigh???

I don't have a clue' but I saw a knock down lift frame once IF I remember right it was rated at #400???
That sounds light for our trucks.
Someone's gotta know.

My girlfriend lifted the tail gate end of mine with a tractor and I picked the other end up by hand and walked I off the truck. Heavy, but nothing 4 guys can't handle.

My 1300 lb hoist doesn't even grunt. I've lifted mine with the arm clear out on a 2 ton cherry picker. What's that??? 4-500 lbs sounds about right. Add another 50 or so for a tail gate. I've set them with 3 guys. One on each front corner and one on the back.

Depends on how much is rusted out lol I would agree with 400 mark just doing mine, it's not like most people have a scale around to weigh them when they take them off. Does it matter much if it is 350 or 450 lbs? It's still a multi person job if you do not have lift?

3 guys can easily lift a bed and walk it to position, without breaking a sweat. 4 guys and it's a piece of cake.. I'm guessing, with the tail gate off, 300# .

Build one of these and do it yourself, one man show.

Or, just put a nylon strap on each corner pocket and hook it to your engine hoist. [not quite as handy as the tool in the pic]

Attempti g to figure out the effect of removing box and replacing it with a different on on CGVW the one I am looking at tips scales bout 1600 lbs...

Me and my brother can lift a box off are selfs bit of a struggle from the tipping issues but I would have to say 250 with the tail gate off

My guess would be 351.8 pounds. Be heavier with grease and mud stuck on the bottom. I can stand mine on end (lift half of it) but it is a *****.
