Public service announcement.
If you install one of these s542 kits, make sure the rubber has a hole in it to vent the trans. Otherwise it will build pressure and push oil out the front seal onto your clutch and ruin it.
That's what the issue I had was not a defective Luk clutch.
I installed this diff vent to solve the problem. I have lots of them if folks want.
The s547 has a vent in this area. I'm guessing they back fit the boot and it caused the issue.please share.

Shift tower boot seals too good, builds up pressure in the trans, and pushes oil out the front seal? Where is the diff vent you added? Is it the freeze plug looking thing in the other photo? Can you zoom out, so I can see where we are talking about. Is this 4x4 trans with transfer case, or 2wd?

Yes, In front of tower before detent plug. 4wd, not that it matters

Ah. Now I see it. Top view with the top left of the image is the tower where the shifter bolts in. Thanks for the heads up.
