So I currently have a 90 F250 with a 7.3 and the truck runs pretty good. I am really wanting to upgrade to a turbo. I have a guy selling locally a 94 7.3 engine that is turbo but the engine is torn down due to a bad head gasket he says.

I can pick up the whole engine for $300 which includes the IP and injectors and all the turbo stuff. Does that sound about right or should I hold out for a running turbo engine to swap with mine?

My thought is just to take the turbo stuff and the IP off that engine and move it over to mine and then slowly rebuild the spare motor for a drop in later on.

That is a steal. Go grab those parts before he changes his mind.

That's a good price, but remember the IDIT motor has some unique features that make rebuilding it more expensive.

So of course after I tell him I want to come by and buy it he can't find the turbo....

Ah well, the search continues.

I made a five hour drive one way for a deal like that!

Edit: didn't read your last post. Sucks about the turbo :(
