Does anyone know how much HP and lbs ? And how
Much of a increase I will get with a cold air intake and a
3.5 inch exhaust system? Thanks,

I have a 86 f250 6.9l. n/a 3.55 gears, c6 trans

The 6.9 had 170 HP and 315 Ft. Lbs of torque.

The 7.3 N/A had 185 HP and 360 Ft. Lbs of torque.

7.3 Turbo IDI's had 190 HP and 388 Ft. Lbs. of torque.

Adding a cold air intake, and a bigger exhaust helps, MAYBE turning up the pump one or two flats....you might gain 10 HP at BEST, but not a whole lot. Make sure you have a Pyrometer when playing with the fuel.

What REALLY gives these engines a kick in the butt is proper timing, a good pump and injectors if yours are worn out.

To go beyond that, Turbo, Interooler, upgraded downpipe, bigger exhaust (4" is plenty) and proper maintenance.

Oh, all numbers were at the flywheel, not at the rear wheels.

Those turbo numbers just dont make sense. Just saying, if felt like my truck was 50% faster after my turbo. As for how much of a difference N/A, I dont have an actual dyno number, but you will be able to tell for sure, and probably turn up your fuel a bit also

Those were factory turbo numbers. If you installed an aftermarket kit, such as Banks for example, it would have a better flowing system than the factory trucks. Apparently the factory downpipes on the factory turbos were pinched off severely limiting the power.

I got these number from several websites, and the N/A HP numbers match the sticker on the driver side valve cover on my truck.

You are completely on your own for this. There was a filter cover called the banks stinger pack (I think) but it has been said that a Dodge Ram 318 (5.2) and 360 (5.9) cold air kits fit pretty good with some modifications. THey can be had on ebay fairly cheaply, or you can make one out of 5" exhaust tubing, a cone filter, and some creative welding. There is a section in the tech articles about this.
