pouring grey smoke at idle

This thing is just pouring grey smoke when its cold. started a few weeks back, just out of no where. Its fine onc eits fully warm. dont think its coolant as it reeks of diesel and coolant level is fine.

Time for injectors? Truck is timed at 9.8
no cold advacne or fast idle though

wow that must sound scary with the timing advance on in the morning set way up there lol.
yeah,it's most likely time for a set.you might take 'em to a local shop to get 'em tested first,but odds are good that's the issue especially if the mileage on them is unknown.......or known high.

but no cold advance is on.
Still damn loud. Im going to back it down to 9 first to see.
But im suspecting injectors.
Have a new/used I{ and injectors I got back in the summer Ill swap in at some point.

9.8 is not that out of line.
but it's not helping.
irregardless, your pump is done. white/grey smoke at idle or decel indicates fuel control issues.

How long does it take to clear up? Does it do it if you use the block heater?

Mine did that right before the IP shat the bed completely.

yikes! I can do the Ip next weekend, hopefully it holds up the 250 mile drive home!

also-best way to lean injector bores-12 gauge shotgun brush?
