The tach you have in the picture is round

One of the previous owners of my truck actually installed an alternator-driven tach

Also are you saying my 85 has the wiring and sending unit in place so I just have to find a tach?

I believe this is the case, yes, re: the wiring. This is based on what others have said, not from direct experience...and, I may be remembering wrong. The sending unit is not there, however.

When searching for one just make sure you dont buy the Gas version like me. I was all excited until I realized that they shouldnt go to 6k. Maybe ill put it in for looks
