PICTURES NEEDED OF YOUR 99-01 F250 SD REAR AXLE CALIPER BRACKETS

i thought this swap was going to be simple.
it hasnt been that bad, however the 99 10.5 has a drivers side caliper bracket that faces forward,
and the passenger that faces to the rear.
my 01 had both calipers to the back.
can anyone with this era truck snap a picture for me?
kinda stumped at what i should do!

My 99.5 is the same way. What is the problem? I put new ones on a couple of years ago. Got the right ones from Azone. All the guys that worked there left and went to O'reilly . I'd have to pull the duals to get a pic. Todd the manager at Azone just went and got the correct one for the pass side, might have to get them for different years. Don't have the slips anymore so can't tell ya the PN. @IDIoit

just found it odd that the drive side caliper was on the front.
seems like they changed that in 2000.
i took off my calipers and tied them to the truck.
going to take the bracket off of the 01 rearend and put it on the 99
so i dont have to crack/replace a line and bleed brakes.
but the hub lock ring is mangled.
have to torch it out.
i researched the hell out of it lastnight, and found it good to go.
but im still gonna swap brackets.

the LSD center is awaiting new bearings, they will come in today
holy hell the bearing kit for these diffs are expensive!
320 bucks!

anyways i got it all ready to go
i should have replaced springs, to make the rear level with the front w/ new springs.. but i gotta spend the minimum as possible.
hopefully today itll be ready to go.

gotta make a 8 hour trip next week, and would like to take the truck, but if not... into the E350 we go.

well, i tried to replace caliper bracket,
turns out the bolt pattern is different on the caliper bracket to the diff housing.
looks like im keeping the driverside caliper on the front.
hope it works!

When you need brake parts, remember 99 model year. It should work fine.

the caliper and bracket on the rear of a 99 are the same , both passanger sides,
or the same as a passanger side from a later one

yep, but the driverside is different... stupid!!!
anyways i got the carrier back w/ new bearings.
ring gear installed
carrier installed
was only able to get .012 or .015 backlash, i went with .012
gotta find the torque spec right now on the carrier bearing clamps, and throw the axes back in...

in the midst of this R&R i had to cut the u-joint straps off the rearend due to rounded out bolts.
i also had to cut the helper bag u bolts..
grab those 2 items and some fluid, she should be good to go.
