overdrive button

Is there a fuse or relay for the over drive button? my buttin doesnt work. I picked up an extra new button to try and see if it was just the button that was bad, but the new one didnt light up either.



any thoughts?

It's the button that turns on and off the overdrive on the automatic transmissions, in my case the e4od, located on the shift lever.

Normally when you push the button, the orange overdrive 'off' light comes on and if the truck is in overdrive, or 4th gear, it will shift out of overdrive.

Login USER IS "Bedford--------Password "library" Select "Auto repair" Go from there to select your vehicle.

GENIUSLOERTS---What does that stand for? That was my handle back in the old CB days without the LOERTS.:D

pulled the column apart and found that the orange wire had been pinched between the column and shift lever.

gotta get some solder tomorrow then it will be back to good.
