i have a 92 crewcab 4x4 7.3 5spd the other day was -35 the truck started fine i let it warm up about 15 mins then head in to town about 5 kms down the road i noticed the temp was above normal then the belt came off and it over heated.after putting on a new belt and topping up the coolant.i turned around to go back home and the same thing happened. cant fiqure it out there has been no problems before this. but it was the first time this year that the temp was that cold :dunno

Did the radiator freeze up because of the really low outside temp. check the consentration of coolant in the water... Maybe it was boarderline and froze up the system so no coolant exchange went thru the rad.

well the coolant was alittle weak that was the heating up proplem. and as far as i can tell the belt problem was do to the coolant that sprayed out on to the pullys. seems to be running good now. thankx for the input
