From what I understand, the SCA's aren't a big deal on the 6.9's either. The block is thicker which gives you much more time before an issue could arise. It's the thinner walls of the 7.3 that make them prone to cavitation.
I really hope that is true!
Haven't found time to get out and find some test strips yet.
Has anybody here played with CNG (natural gas) fumigation on an IDI before?
It intrigues me to try some with it at $.93/gal around here. A 50/50 mix would cut more than 25% off my total fuel bill.
The plan is to start small and supplement 10% and work it up to 50%, listening for pinging along the way. I am going to do a very simple switch and regulator system that I will only turn on when cruising steady state on the freeway. I have two friends that are certified CNG installers to help me out.
Any thoughts on how it might work?
