pulled the front clip..engine..tranny..and xfer case today..and she is heavy lol..plans are to pull the heads and seal everything up. i have a turbo system that is going on it and i want to put studs in the heads while im at it.. also going to see if i can track down a 3g alternator and do it all at once.

I know for a fact them heads are at least 90lbs each. And you can make your own 3g alternator with some jy parts. The write-up's on here somewheres

thats about the best way to get that iron out of there! tractor or forklift for the win! looks like things are progressing well!

Remember to remove the head bolts in sequence 1/4 of a turn at a time until finger loose, or you will crack them.

never heard this? :confused: i could see mabe with a big inline. i gunned all my head bolts out and had no issues with the heads.

:eek: I wouldn't do that again. Yeah, you remove them like you torque them down. In steps, following the factory sequence in reverse. They can crack/warp.
