old parts?

Bought 85 6.9

Long story short I have access to a bunch of parts which have been sitting in a motor for ~ 8 years (s-1600 housetruck my friend bought from me and parked on his property... Never uses it)

Obviously everything will need a good look over... but the truck has nearly new glowplugs, GP controller, ARP studs, injectors, injection pump + lines, and lifters.

I'm assuming the GP and studs will be fine. Anyone ever re-used studs? I could probably make a popoff tester or something for the injectors to test them. Not sure if I should send the IP in? and the lifters I think are oiling correct? could be gummed up?

What should I be looking out for?

Studs can be reused, just check them for stretching and thread damage.

Why not get it running and swap the whole engine over?

block is cracked... it's the old style

I would use the parts as-is. Even the injection pieces. Re-evaluate after getting some miles on it.
