It's in the transmission. If you can change a transmission filter, you can change the solenoid pack. I wouldn't just change the one, I'd change the whole pack, they all tend to go bad eventually. IMHO, it's not worth the 3500 he's askin when the door and front fender are KOed a bit and it needs the solenoid pack.

ya and the glow plugs are finicky lol which means a ground to me but where is the solenoid pack at and i looked for one at autozone and its 600 dollars what the F@@@ come on are you serious or am i lookin at something different

If they dont mention miles in the ad, they are usually going to have higher miliage than anything else in the price range.

ok well the guy has emailed me back sayin some things i dont wanna here well here it goes:

1 the truck doesnt go much on road just for firewood truck
2 truck idles 4 to 5 hours 3or 4 times a week
3 push button glowplugs so he also says he has to hold in the button for awhile til the light comes on
4 he says the thrid to overdrive solenoid is bad he says its a 35 dollar peice can anyone comment
5 he wont tell me miles on the truck it gets irritating after 6 times u emailed about miles on truck he wont answer back lol

ok so guidance he wants to trade straight up for my durango would this be a good deal or is it not worth it?

Truck is worth about $1000-$1500 IMO. Just tell him because of his lack of information that you will no longer be persuing the deal.
