It's a Citgo product which is reason enough for me not to buy it, but to each his own.

yup ran it in my first 6.9 couldnt tell a difference from the rotella that i religiously use. seemed to not burn up as quick idk could just be me.

Try using Chevron Delo, my truck drinks less Delo than Rotella, just my .02.

I've noticed the same thing using Motorcraft instead of Rotella....

I've noticed the same thing using Motorcraft instead of Rotella....

and I've also noticed the same thing using Castrol Tection Extra instead of Rotella, but I did run Rotella T5 semi-syn this winter which didn't burn much.

i did till the oreilleys in my hometown "seymour" and the walmart quit selling it and alot with advanced and autozone which really ticked me off... so everytime im outta town and i see it i usually pick up a couple gallons if i can. i wonder why they did that?

has anybody tried the royal purple 15w40? just wondering because they have a pretty good name for themselves. just hand't herd much about the heavy weight usage in diesels........

I ran it a few things for a while. Seemed to burn more than the Mobil 1 TDT between changes. Quit buying it when a motor with only 25K on it threw a rod (motorcycle). Not sure if the oil was the cause, but I decided not to take any chances.

The royal Purple 15W40 is $34.99 a gallon at my local autozone. I ran royal purple atf in my last IDI's ZF5 and it worked great, smoothed out the 2-3 shift.

really? so would it be better to run that royal purple atf in a t-19b borg warner 4speed versus gear oil?

I'm not sure about a T19, as I've never owned one. But for ZF-5 folks, I know my experience was good.
