Oil leak above the oil filter, rear oil cooler head? what do I need to know before I start taking it apart?

That is the exact tub I use from HD, actually have 2 of them.
I have mentioned them before on other Forums, but no feed back, but I guess it helps on the side lines in the Peanut gallery reading the Forums, might help one of them.

AHHH yes, we have to tread lightly as to what we say or might offend some thin skinned individual.

The OC end caps I used something like 2000 grit wet/dry sand paper to polish them up inside to make sure there were nothing to screw up causing any problems with the "O" Rings.

Actually for me it wasn`t too messy of a job with the OC.
The mess was inside my engine with the Oil being mixed with the coolant. Luckly I didn`t have to Coolant mixed with the oil to screw up the bearings etc....

5) Drain your radiator to limit the mess.

I will add "also drain your engine block" to lessen the mess even farther.

See this all the time, ask a question, and get 16 reply`s, and no thank`s or closure it they got their problem fixed, or junked the truck and moved on with life.
