odd brakes

so it starts with someone in front of me decided to brake check me and i had to jam the brakes no load empty..

now i known my rear brakes not to work since we've got snow on the ground.. so that was for sure on the list when it got nice... i just got the truck about a year ago and never drove in snow to even have a clue

well after jamming the brakes driving down the freeway i could smell burning brakes so i slowed down....

got off the freeway and checked out the brakes pass side was hanging up.. drivers was fine so i decide i was gonna finish the ride home another 10 min... got home and touched the wheel sure enough it was warm and not the drivers

so i decided to play around with it figured it was a stuck caliper. so i have a new spare from another truck that wasn't that old and a newer hose also so i figured what the heck and installed it since the bleeder broke when i tried to open it...... bleed up the front after doing so and now it seems like the pedal drops right to the floor... but the brakes aint never felt better and it now seems like the rear are also working.. so im wondering if the hard jam freed up the rears some how? and now is causing my low pedal.. im not sure if the rears are trying to work now..

any suggestion even with the brakes acting up after a hard jam? the fluid looked like someone put used diesel oil in it so i tried my best to get it cleaned out tonight but i think this is gonna be a for sure weekend finish flushing because it was nasty

Change your fluid and bleed your whole system, I sugguest a phenoix systems brake bleeder. Yeah it might have free'd the rears up.

Def bleed the whole system, starting with the furthest from the MC, then the next furthest an so on.
