Dang is right lol. My front is 3.55 but the back os 4.10. I plan to remove the rear driveshaft to see what i think of 355s before swapping anoter rear under the truck.

Your going to hate 3.55 gears with 35" tires, I know, I have two 3.55 geared trucks. Anything bigger then the stock 235's really drains the power and mpg's. Save you time and money, and don't even think about doing that swap.

an old friend of mine had an 85 with a 6.9 and 4 spd with 3.55 gears and 35's and it did pretty good he got like 22 mpg with it but that's a different story but i will take your word for it, i believe it , i was just wanting less rpm's at 70 mph

I wouldn't believe the 22mpg claim myself. 3.55 with a 4 speed at highway speeds isn't to bad, but getting out the hole is going to be hell.

I have a 86' 6.9L 4 door with a 4 speed and 36" tsl's, just filled up on friday, got 14.2mpg on that tank. What are stock F350 gears? Are they 3.55?

Ya if i had the choice I would stick with 4.10's.

Crash86's truck fools me everytime because it has 3.55 and 35 Mud terrains and will pull two tractors at a time better than mine and I have smaller tires. i dont get it haha
