I'm going to start listing all my newb questions here as to not pollute this site any more than I have to. Right now what I'd like to know is:

-What is a torque plate and what does the number refer to?

-What/where is the AFC Wheel and how can it be adjusted?

I appreciate your time and patience. ;Sweet NORM

The plates vary from a 10 to a 0 plate, the latter being most aggressive.
These pics show you both these parts. Does this help you any?
The 100 plate shown is a modified 10 plate. I don't think they're avail.
The star wheel is up top there. Turn if forwards to the front of the motor
until the spring behind it is loose and no longer "loaded".
DO NOT do the star wheel or fuel plate unless you have gauges.
Your egt's can climb VERY fast.

thanx for the help.

2 more questions:

-Where is the best place to mount the pyrometer? Prior to or after the turbo? Where's everyone getting there numbers from?

-Where is the best place to hook up a boost pressure switch/sending unit? Where is the best place to mount it?

I guess that's actually 4 questions. Thanx for any help. NORM

PS-I got a K&N installed and a strait pipe today to replace the muffler. The engine is still louder than the exhaust. lol.

-Most guys put the pyro, booost, & trans temp on the A-pillar.
-Pyro probe goes pre-turbo for the best accuracy.
-There's a couple pipe plugs in the intake, one is facing the injector pump.
- Actually, the plates start at #13, which is a stock plate.

I've got a 1st gen so I don't think the plate thing applies to me. I've heard about a pipe plug that can be removed from the head that the boost guage can bolt to. For the egt it looks like I'm gonna have to drill the manifold. Thanx for the thoughts and comments.
