New starter no nose cone???

Had a starter go out its the offset gear reduction one with a nose cone, the only one i can get is a planetary reducion with no nose cone. Both are mitsubishi Is there any reason not to use the no nose cone one? Or any issues.

I put one in my 1990 7.3l two years ago and have had no problems with it.
