Ok so my truck now has a new problem, its been nickle and dimeing me. But now the temp gauge is going crazy. Ive never had any problems with it before, but now all of a sudden the gauge will move to really warm, like the L in normal, then it will come back down to the r then it will go back up to the L. So im not sure what to think. Its possible the fan clutch is going out, but the water pump is new, and the thermo is new, coolant is new. So my thought is there might be an air bubble somewhere in the system, or the fan clutch is dieing, or my gauge is just Freaking out.

Thoughts... I know the factory gauges are not very good, but they have been reliable thus far. If i got a coolant temp gauge, where would the sender go? Who makes the cheapest but still relable guages, nothing against Isspro, but they are kinda pricey.

thanks

1.) Air in cooling system, have you recently broke into the cooling system...it may need "burped".
2.) Is the cooling system properly serviced?
3.) Though basic in design, could be thermostat.
4.) Cooling fan (or parts of that system).
5.) Sense or sending unit (did you shake any wires yet?
6.) Indication, have you switched out the guage from a buddies truck (if available)?
