Heading up this weekend to pick up Dad's old truck. '86 f250 diesel. Plan on getting tips here for maintaining reliability and adding a little power to the old girl.

alas, tragedy struck as one of the rear tires decided to convert itself to a racing slick on the freeway, dealing a fair bit of damage to the side of the bed.

Pretty sure I can straighten out the panels with some work, and the filler door seems easy enough to replace but the trim seems harder to locate. Really wish I had replaced the tires before moving it since I knew they where well past their prime. But at least I didn't have far to go for the nearest shop. The truck ran well the whole way, just have a few minor leaks and cleaning in the engine bay to address. Dad reports that the mice seem to have stopped favoring this rig so no nests to clean out.

If anybody has some trim pieces off of a parts rig I'm looking to buy.
