i just got my paypal notification that my custombatterycables.com cables are on their way! we will see how good they are. i have been waiting for almost a month. i got the full set as my positive is corroded right after the passenger side clamp and the negative ground splice is broken. after that and new batteries, i cant wait to see how much beeter she will start. now that it is getting colder up here, she hasnt been up to par. and it isnt that cold yet.

Nice! What did the set you back? I myself got lucky during half off day at the local scrap yard and got a spare positive cable for less that 2 bucks that is in great shape

i just put new ground cables on mine yesterday(all croded and **** on the terminalend) and they were off a 96 PSD bolted right end and had to crimp on another end on the postive ground cable on the drivers and ive never had this thing spin and starts so faster that it ever has the three years ive had the thing

I've bought a couple sets now from him as well as the stuff to make my own. He sold me custom ends, etc. with auxilary attachment points on them and I soldered them all up, put two extra 10 ga wires in it to run my relay ramp (horn, headlights, tail-lights, etc.) and the parts were top notch. The guy takes a little time to get them, but he uses VERY fine braid wire and everything is soldered and shrink wrapped with adhesive shrink wrap, etc. I won't use any crimped on again since learning how to solder them. I made up extra 4 ga ground cables, etc. and everything seems to work so much better, stable in dash gauges, etc.

You won't be sorry, like I said, it takes a minute to get them, but several of us have bought them and I've not heard any complaints other than the time to get them. I've talked to the guy several times for parts since then, I can't remember his name, but he's a very nice individual and when I order parts, he always throws in shrink wrap and such...generally he just says, "oh, I'll set you up for $20" or whatever the price may be, and when he says set up, there is nothing lacking. Great guy! Should be on our "merit" list if he isn't already.

You wont regret it! Im running a set of those on my brown truck. I had a minor issue with them, as his jig is made for a 7.3 truck and so the cables are made in reverse of the 6.9 system, but that issue is remedied easily.

He might now, but the ones I ordered are soldered.

The ends I bought from him would be impossible to crimp, they are thick as as get out, enough that I could grind two ports for 10 gauge wires beside the 2/0 cable and still have plenty of material left in the wall!

I doubt it, he soldered mine on, and soldered is much better than that press stuff.
I dont think he'd take that quality piece out of his cables.

It does say he bought a new press and crimps the hell out of em (his words) but I don't think the ends he uses for 2/0 cable would crimp. And yeah, while I would prolly still buy them, I prefer soldered MUCH better if done right, no casing burnt of the wire, etc. He told me how he did them and that's exactly how I did mine...worked great! Plus, a viewing or two of American Chopper will show you the same process. Heat the terminal, melt solder into it, flux the wire after stripping it, then heat it a little to melt the flux, then shove it home! Just wear gloves that will take hot solder, cause it will come up out of there in a hurry...don't ask me how I know!

Yeah, and if he uses the same shrink wrap he sent me and has used on mine, that stuff is VERY thick. I would bet you could just shove the cable in there and shrink wrap it together and never have a problem!

It has glue in it like he says "similar to hot melt glue". It kind of melts into the casing of the cable and sticks to the terminal like nobody's business. I slid mine on while the soldered end was still warm, then heat gunned it. I'm telling you what, when I slid that stuff up on there, I had to get it where I wanted it and QUICK! Anyway, however he does it, the cable and connectors are very nice, you won't be sorry. I've sent dozens of guys to him and all of them said they were impressed when they got them. He'll customize them as well, another nice feature.
