bell housing issue

Ok guy's
If you have the bell housing off .First stop the crack by drilling a hole at the end of the crack . A 1/4 " will do find . If you have a electric welder at your disposial ,take the bell housing and heat it up in a oven, take it out weld it with the proper rod they make several for cast iron. Then heat it up again and wrap it in aspstos blankets several ( any old blanket should do ) let it cool all night long . Then WITHOUT grinding anything replace it into the truck.
wham bam thank you mam. You also could braze it up with a aceteline torch
and should also apply the blankets .The trick is to slow down the heat loss so it wont crack again.

good luck

I broke off the ear for the slave cylinder off my bell housing. I had it welded back on by a welding shop. The bell housing on mine was cast aluminum. Take it to a good welding shop to have fixed.
