Need Help Asap Please....E4OD shifting issue

97 F350 7.3 Transmission just went through full rebuild. Mechanic says he thinks truck is starting out in 2nd gear and it doesn't want to shift to 3rd gear. Also, I have an Edge Insight monitor that shows it in park even while driving. MLPS is about 1 month old and it worked fine when dropped off to the shop.

Need help asap please cause mechanic is stumped. I was thinking of buying a new shift control solenoid and mlps but I don't want to throw money unnecessarily at it. Checked both fuses (8 and 18 I think it was) and they are fine.

Any info would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

I'm not a auto trans guy. But I do know the mlps can cause problems.
Secondly where the big plug goes into the trans can have issues.

Check the TRS adjustment (MLPS). If the lines do not line up, reset it so the do. If the adjustment is correct the TRS is bad.
