ideal trans temp is around 175 degree's.
you may want to install a temp gauge this time.
at what temp does the TOT sensor make the OD light flash? (i bet it's scary.)
trans temp gauge for the next one.

I have a 4x4 transmission rebuilt by FORD MOTORCRAFT!!! Only thing is it is a 4x4 trans so you would have to swap the tail housings but that is rather easy to do. Comes with everything you need. PM me for questions/price..

the entire transmission must be dissembled before the tail housings can be swapped actually.
however,you know adding a T-case to a 2wd truck and just getting the 4wd drive shaft could be a good idea anyway! a feller could have low range.a handy tool i use more than actual 4wd even.
