that truck is built to be a aircraft tug.
with the rear ends they put in them, you can do 80k. your top speed will be severely limited tho.

I'm pretty sure those things have a partial transfer case that is locked in low range too. Those things are just project fodder, no real use for them as-is other than a tug.

Doesn't Lonesome7.3 have one of these also? I remember him having something like this, and a GM Chassis with some massive rockwells that was a 4x4 tug.... I think.... he said they are fun, but the Dodge only goes something like 30 wide open..... I may be remembering wrong........

Yes, the non-intercooled Cummins trucks used the tried and true 727 trans('89-'91.5). The street trucks had 3.07 gears to make them at least right lane friendly on the freeway.

I got a buddy that use to have a first gen cummins with a stick shift and 3.07 gears, he said it done pretty good on the flat ground but is much slower than my idi when pulling our mountain here, he said 20MPH tops with that thingm mine will do it 30-35 He now has a modified 6.0L psd ICP sensor just went out of it costed him 800 dollars, makes me love my IDI more everyday
