More Fins on the Oil Cooler?

So my oil cooler leaks like my wallet! I see that newer IDIs have more fins. If I go and fix the seals, is it worth it to cange to a newer unit with more fins (assuming I can find one cheap)?

I put one on. It helped some. 24 fins per inch instead of 20
