Hoookay, first off, pic of Mizz Fugly with the heart of gold since none of you have seen her:
BTW- she is loaded with 2000lbs aka 1 short ton of steel in the above photo.... sittin' pretty level huh?! Nothing but factory springs!! You can tell she's a little squattie, but, the load was also just aft of the axle instead of directly over it.
This is what she was hurking around:
Doesn't look big, but it is one chuck of steel under a thin layer of fiberglass, fairing filler and paint.
Here's the proof it was 2000lbs:
The thing is, I'm not necessarily bragging about the trucks capacity capabilities, but the freakin performance!! I haven't even installed typ4's new injectors, or Agnems Baby Moose, nor have I given it any flats, and this truck didn't even feel anything. The only thing different was stopping distance(Yeah I know... I got all the parts, just no time) and the ride was reallyreallyreally smooth.
The new HD torque converter and double clutches in my rebuild shifted very smooth, no apparent slip.... and I didn't even take it out of OD... I know... had to try. Top speed was 77mph up a slight grade for about 5-7 miles. No shift hunt or hard shifts. Temps sat steady, didn't climb or fall to the top or over the back of the grade.
Aweright!
After some injector system work... I think the ole girl will deserve some new make up and seating. No more Mizz Fugly by summers end... I hope?!
