They are not too hard to find really, I can buy a donor vehicle out here for anywhere from 500-1000 dollars. I am going to set up the truck with the non-turbo motor and see what it does, and if I need more power then I will probably just buy a turbo engine and swap in. I am pretty close to starting this project. Stay tuned for pics.;Sweet

Here are some pics of the re-drilled Toyota flywheel, The outer ones are for the Benz crank. I chose to use only 6 of the 12 because they would have interfered With the stock Toyota holes, and probably would have been a stress point. Plus the Benz is just overbuilt, heck even the IDI only has 9 crank bolts. Do the mercedes pilot bearings press into the crank? I only ask because my IDI pilot goes in the flywheel, and I need the ID mesurement from the Inside of the crank and the od of a benz pilot should give me that number. I am going to machine a sleeve that centers the flywheel to the Crankshaft and also machine a spot for the stock Toyota pilot bearing.;Sweet

Its coming along nicely, I should have the pilot bearing adapter done this week. I am going to make the adapter plate for the engine and transmission next. Once that is all done I am going to take my flywheel to a machine shop nearby and have it match balanced to the Mercedes Flywheel/flex-plate assembly, or zero balanced.....I am not sure what the best way to go will be yet.
