Does anyone know the maximum safe boost, and the absolute maximum before "Kato"?

They'll take a lot.
It's said 40 for stock head bolts.
Kinda depends on the turbo too. Stocker will be way out of it's efficiency range.

I'm kinda looking at the idea of maximum safe boost and power for an off-road heavy outdoors/camping special, which would often be towing trailer into the same kinda places. Basically, I was thinking about building a camping truck that I could drive up Kilimanjaro to camp at the top

If running stock injectors, don't even worry about over boosting. Lol
