Matching paint

II been doing some body work on my truck. I went over it with some gloss rustolium paint. Really seems to bright to match the write on my truck. How can I get it to match better? Buffing? Use different paint?

Rustolium isn't going to match. If you want to get a paint that matches, go to a auto paint store and have them either mix up a paint to the paint codes on your truck or they have these really nifty machines that they take out and hold up to your paint and it identifies the colour of your paint so they can mix up a match to it.

Some places can even mix up a code matching color and load it into a spray bomb for ya.

Depends on how old the paint is on it now... You're never going to match a new white with an old white; you can buff all day long.

Ill try the paint shop, maybe I can rattle can the whole bed to get it to blend in better.

Now you will have to sand all that SHITTYY rustolium oil based paint off to have automotive paint stick. It will not stick to oil based paints

And like others said, new white paint will not match 15+ year old paint, with out a body shop custom tinting a color and then also blending it in
