Welp...this is uncharted waters for me LOL  There is play in my steering column (I can feel it when I lift the steering wheel up and down) and I'm wondering if I should worry about it or if there is a way I can tighten it back up? I'm assuming there is an upper bearing retainer or something that has worked loose. Everything else feels tight and it steers fine. Thanks for any help you guys ;Sweet

It is a non tilting column other details on truck are in my sig...

There are some bolts that hold the top collar to the tube, sometimes you can remove the turn sig screws and slide it up enough to get at the ones for the collar. Been a long time but that is what I remember.

haha i have the same issue. except mine is quite worse. i can move my wheel over an inch in any direction. I can even go under the dash and take collum and shake it where it goes through the firewall. Id assume it is soposed to be solid :dunno. I have tried to change the bearings but with no success. its just all worn out. It needs some major work under there. That is actually the last piece to make my steering and suspension 100% new
