A member here has a new rig, and was having issues with filtration using a biocide.

Got me thinking my 93 has 47k on the clock, gotz to be some crud in the tanks..

2 thing's to list...
Most useful chemical, and most useful filtration post tank( to save the fsv).
There are the threads that go into manual clearing of the tanks, but what if the issue is light duty?

I have heard of it. Never seen it in person. My peterbilt sat 20 yrs. 2 new batteries and I drove it to home. My f250 sat a while. No issues.

I use Biobor biocide to kill the algae at which point I'd have to change filters out ,2 spin ons, 1 by the tank and the other under the hood.
Now after the Biobor kills the agae I'm using Power Service Klear Diesel which breaks down the dead algae where it passes through and gets burnt.

It's been 5-6 years using the Klear Diesel without a problem.

Every 3-4 fill ups I throw in a bottle of Heat (red container) to eliminate any water.

Doesn't the heat just make the water mix with the fuel and get pumped through your injectors and injection pump? I'm running a spin on water trap filter. Never seen any water cone out when I drain it.

I would be that member.
I used NAPA Bio-Kleen and two stacked inline filters before the lift pump. I used the Bio-Kleenex because it was available on a Sunday afternoon. When it started to surge, I tossed the filter closest to the tank and put a fresh one closest to the ip, moving the used one back to first position. Not optimal, but field expedient. So far, so good...

I know we have several guys tortured by this malady,
how often (milage wise) were you needing to change the 2" x 3" filters?
EDIT In..these are a napa universal ripoff book reference...
Napa just puts "napa" on the box most likely a wix?

I had some old frams that were larger, no longer available.end EDIT out...

So far my googlefu shows this to be the biggest otc disposable inline filter out there,(if anyone has a part #for something bigger, PLEASE chime in) a permanent filter head is not practical at the tank outlets.

I don't see a link to the filters you referenced.
