Leak from upper radiator hose on the thermostat housing.

Has anybody ever cracked their thermostat housing?

I put a new upper radiator hose on my truck when I replaced the t stat, and now it's leaking down the housing from the hose.

I'm going to take the hose off tomorrow hopefully (it's cold here) and clean it with a scotch brite pad, but I'm wondering if anybody has cracked their housing before?

it's probably just dirty.may need to use two clamps if its real pitted but I've never seen one break

Me either. Mine would leak too but constant tightening finally stopped the leak. cleaning the neck is a great idea.
