I just fired it up, ambient temp of -30F, plugged in, 20 second burn, 4 turns and it's running.... Old girl starts good, but, it's relatively low mileage, 160K, and has an electric pump, all new return lines and o-rings, new injectors last year, new batts, so on and soforth...

That new style dinger I swapped in when I swapped the dash over... The buzzer was just too annoying, and the headlight warning actually works on this one, which is what I wanted it for...

That's a pretty neat setup you have there. I've often thought of making bio, but, I'd only be looking at being able to use it May-September in a normal winter due to it's viscosity and cloud point, I'd probably to be able to get through April and October by cutting it, but, beyond that, I'd need to stay with petro based fuel, right now, we're to the point that we're no longer getting blended fuel, but straight #1 at work(I work for a fuel distributor.)
Maybe next spring I'll get into it, I know my boss is also interested in it.

well that is all good and well.....

My old 83 will light up on a zero morning with a 50% mix of atf and not plugged in......just glow the plugs one time and go......now.....that is not too bad.....

My old IDI with it's hot pump etc...sounded like the cyls were swapping holes when it fire up cold ....... no sounds as I wasn't a high tech redneck back then

Got the same sounds just gonna take all afternoon to get em downloaded onto photobucket. 30mb.

Got a good light off with 9 degree temps this am not plugged in and she grumbled big time.
Now I just gotta get back to work on the pipes. Frozen waterline this morning and -20 degree wind chill to boot.
I'll post my vid as soon as it finishes......not sure when yet.

When it comes to the interior, I kind of have to gloat... Mine is in NICE shape yet... I still need to get matching door panels though.

I have the exactly similar seats in my F250 as well, I got rid of the bench seat as it was killing my back.

I am looking for a console to fill the empty space between the seats now though. Maybe something that can fold down into a 3rd seat for an extra passenger.

Protect those seats! I searched the world over for those last summer and came up empty. Had to go aftermarket and recover to match.

I have to agree, Sam's much cuter. Although, you two look like an add for AA that early in the morning.

Sam, what kind of manure makers you haulin'?

I gotta figure out his video/sound clip thing. My wifes truck sounds very cool in the cold weather.
