I've had bad luck with rebuilt water pumps. The other issue is they only ship inside Canada. Might want to check with the seller before buying it to see if they will ship to the US and what the cost will be. It might be more than the cost of the pump.

I bought a water pump from Ford. It was like 90 bucks. I'd rather pay 50 bucks more and not do that job again. Not one of the funnest jobs.

I think my dealer wants $150. But I'd rather $150 and truck down the road another 100k than have to replace it again soon (the one on it was put on by the PO, and is less than 20k old).

I recently got a ford dealer one from www.silverstatefordparts.com for about 90 bucks
The one I had installed that I had bought at Advance with only about 70k miles on it the impeller was installed a bit crooked and it had a couple of stress cracks in the caasting. You get what you pay for

Everythings junk nowadays. After spending the whole afternoon dropping my steering column to replace my turn signal switch and installing a new speedo cable, my damn brake booster started hissing again! Lifetime warranty, I think this will be replacement number 5.

Yikes! and just for giggles, I'd sure like to know who the heck is now manufacturing the *factory* water pumps as when I called the IH dealer to get one , I was told the interesting fact that IH no longer makes those pumps and that they are only now available through the aftermarket... yet Ford is still selling pumps, which leads me to wonder who is making them ... and what province of China THEY are coming from :backoff

$150 is much higher than I've paid for Ford water pumps. I've bought two in the last few years. One for my F250, and another for my F350. Both with tax were $95. Gotta call another dealer.

Mind sharing which dealer that was? If it was one close to where you live now I could just go there. The Bowling Green Ford dealer is pretty much worthless, as is our Napa auto parts. I drive to Franklin if I have to get something from Napa.

I bought my water pump at Napa 2 years ago, so far so good. I think I paid somewhere in the 120 dollar range for it.

When we had our old 1972 classic Winnebago Brave, quite a few Dodge chassis parts could not be found for it anymore and as the years move on, I'm sure it got worse.
I fear the day that our trucks get so old, that we will have trouble getting certain specialized new parts for them. One thing that comes to mind is the tach sensor that I could only find at the dealer when I bought mine two years ago.
Now look at injectors, all of a sudden the only new ones to be found are from China.
